When Franco Debono wanted to REFORM the justice system the Nationalist Party condemned and banned him from contesting the next elections.

Franco Debono filed a private members’ motion with 24 major areas of reform in justice and home affairs with which everyone agrees.

    When Dr Debono wanted to reform the Justice he was savagely attacked persecuted by the PN and recieved dead treats and only PL condemn the criminals .
    Now yesterday Gonzi had the result , yesterday he said he was shocked , i am sure he was aware by the police .

    Of course everyone agrees but nobody dares to implement, Has it ever occurred to you Dr.Debono that your reforms would have created some huge earthquakes. Yes the common people would have benefited but what would those on high pedestals have gained. Recent history explains it all.

          There is nothing more infuriating than an average Labour supporter, like this die-hard “demmi ahmar” taking about things they don’t understand.

          The great big tragedy is that they have a vote.

          And the bigger tragedy is that while the average PN voter would always think twice before voting, the average Labour voter votes Labour whatever its policies.

          Look at KMB in 2087. He bloody nearly won, can you believe how dumb the average Labour voter is?

            That was in 1987, and he’s still kicking “strong” 25 years later, though I don’t think he’ll be around in 2087, and neither will I.

            I’ve heard this about the average intelligence of the PN voter being higher than that of the PL one.

            I think it’s all crap, quite frankly. There may be a slight difference, and the PN voter tends to be slightly more educated on average, but being educated does not mean being intelligent.

            Churchill spoke famously about the same tragedy you speak of, but he was talking about the British voter, not the Maltese Labour voter.

            So I’d guess it’s the world over. The average voter is not intelligent enough to make the right choice. There’s enough evidence of this on youtube. You can spend hours watching vox-pops on American, Australian, Canadian voters, probably many more, and you can only arrive at the same conclusion.

            And this is of course one good argument that favours dictatorships as opposed to democracies.

            I’m not sure which of the two is the more dangerous.

            I am really scared, I’ve thought that the average Nationalist can count from one to ten and can make distinction between the past and the future.

            Dragon, although videos like those are evidence of the EXISTENCE of something, they are not a MEASURE, even though on average a party’s voter base is as intelligent as the next one’s.

            Equating the parties themselves, however, is clearly a mistake.

          You know what, I did make a typo – 2087 should have read 1987. But then again, was it really a mistake?

          I mean, what it there to prove that in 80 years’ time the average Labour voter would be any wiser than today?

          Frankly I do not think so. Nearly half of Malta voted for KMB in 1987 and again in 1992.

          If we ever needed any proof of the average low Labour IQ, there you have it.

          Not to mention all those imbeciles who voted againsit EU membership as Joseph Muscat told them to do.

          Next election Labour will win. And it is going to be one regressional slide into socialist oblivion, as if the last 25 years never happened.

          It is a very scary prospect and, for us who lived under Labour, an impending nightmare.

            Ensconce yourself in your warm economically sound, fiscal blanket provided by GonziPN to just some, until it is time for the tax man to come knocking. Then just show him the party membership card, but pray he will visit before 9th March 2013 for this magic card to have any effect.

            If the knock comes after that day, I am afraid the “tessera” will not do you a fat lot of good. Someone has to pay for your party’s wanton waste, and scandalous economic policies, and all those juicy loans your party gobbled up without the slightest thought for tomorrow; and having produced so little with!

            Hekk! If not the guys that struck it rich gulping down piggishly on the slippery, free flowing gravy train these 25 years, than who has the money to pay?
