Discipline, candidates and the next leadership race

Discipline, candidates and the next leadership race

This morning in Valletta people expressed with me their concern about how the PN has been led in the past four years.

Most were of the opinion that what is happening inside the PN right now has nothing to do with discipline or with new candidates, but rather with one faction’s efforts to get hold of the party in view of the next leadership race, possibly immediately after the elections, if the party loses heavily at the polls, considering the negative polls.

Who knows this reasoning may be true after all?

People asked me : are Austin Gatt and Beppe Fenech Adami, who once had  a legal office together trying to gain control of the party in view of the next leadership race? does Eddie Fenech Adami think he gave the PN on lease to Lawrence Gonzi and now is the time for his family to take it back on termination of the lease?

Food for thought !

Austin Gatt and Beppe Fenech Adami will soon loose (il qaghaleb u l gbejniet) as the saying goes.
That’s what happens to greedy people who know no limits…
Sadly, GonziPN has lost touch with reality. They have had it so good for so long. No wonder, they are living THEIR reality,a reality which they are trying to sell us because it suites them well.
But we, the people, we are suffering.
Mia culpa! I voted them in, But I’ll make sure to vote them out this time round.
Get back to reality GonziPN we need a spring clean, and if it’s an Autumn one,so much better.

One may also argue on how the PN has been led not only these past four years but since around 1998, when several PN MPs continued to become more and more comfortable with the position they held. Hindsight is an exact science, and I believe that there’s no room for interpreting the abuse that this has led to.

Does the party structure allow that an ex President/ex leader attend or access internal meetings officially? If not, who is responsible to stop that from happening?

Beppe has no credentials or qualities to be leader if that happen the PN will end up in opposition for at least 20 years
